The June 2024 McCook Lake flooding is recent memory for everyone here, and it is directly relevant to concrete. Ground that got washed out, scoured, or thoroughly re-wetted does not simply go back to how it was when the water left. Fines migrate, voids open under slabs, and the concrete above them settles months or even a couple of years later.
